I first contacted Todd toward the end of summer 2008 as we were considering building a new home, and, if so, selling our house on Savanna. I spoke to and researched several different agents. I felt a good connection with Todd and in addition to him being professional, having a great deal of knowledge, honest, etc., he is very personable and I have to say that when speaking to him, I have always felt that I can talk to him as a friend. I have come to know that he is family-oriented and would not steer us one way or another on any issue that he would not choose for his own family.
In regards to the situation last summer, after viewing the potential new neighborhood and builder's models with Todd and having several discussions between ourselves and with Todd, Michael and I felt that it was not a wise choice. It would have been easy for Todd to steer us towards that move (in turn getting two deals) as he knew that we were excited about the house, but he was honest with us and I'm very glad that we did not go that route due to what is (or rather what is not) going on in that particular neighborhood. Additionally, we are excited about the home that we are currently having built and feel that it is a better choice for us and our family. He didn't KNOW for sure that we would find something else in the future and, if so, choose him as the realtor. Even so, he still gave us his honest advise. When we were ready to move forward on the new home and selling our Savanna Lane home, contacting Todd again was just natural.
