Michelle Keahey - Bio

Serving the community as a licensed real estate professional since 1988, Michelle has gained excellent experience and knowledge from working in a multitude of areas. Michelle's real estate career started in Houston, Texas, working for some of the country's top performing agencies, where she participated in listing and selling exclusive properties in the finest neighborhoods. From Houston, her career extends west to Midland, Texas, where she sold everything from raw acreage to ranch estate property. In 2000, Michelle represented the LBJ Holding Company as the Sales and Marketing Director for the historic Brown Building Lofts located in downtown Austin. She participated in selling over twelve million dollars in residential condominiums in the 2000 fiscal year.

Michelle is a multi-million dollar producer specializing in central Austin real estate. She has established a reputation for helping her clients with remodels, landscaping and interior design. Michelle uses these talents in preparing her sellers homes for sale, bringing them 10% to 20% more for their houses than the traditional Realtor. These skills are also beneficial to her buyers in helping them visualize the true potential of their dream properties. Her attention to detail and uncompromising service bring her continued referrals from every client.

Michelle is a native Austinite. She was raised in Tarrytown, attending Casis Elementary, O.Henry Junior High and Austin High School. Her family relocated to Houston, Texas where she Graduated from Memorial High School and attended the University of Houston. After 13 LONG years in Houston she was able to relocate back to Austin moving just one block away from her previous childhood home. In 2003, Michelle purchased a 1928 English cottage in Travis Heights, there she spends most of her free time continuing to improve the home and work in the garden which has been featured in various Home & Garden publications. She shares her home with two very energetic English Setters. Michelle loves to travel and entertain.

I helped move my uncle of 92 out of Austin to be close to family. My uncle and family were left with the task of preparing a 1920's home for the market. We were out of state and when I traveled down to Austin from Maryland to oversee the packing of furniture, Michelle was there to meet with me. She arranged for an inspection, provided her market analysis, and asked for an independent market analysis from a colleague. The meetings helped to define the work to be done and I left Austin with a clear plan of action. Each time I hired a contractor to do landscaping, painting, or other work toward preparation for sale she was there to report on the progress. Although we were out of state Michelle was in constant communication and we always understood where we were in the process of both preparation for sale and the listing and closing process. This is only the second time I've sold a home but I can't image having a better agent in our corner than Michelle. She knows the market well, is very detail oriented, and handled the entire process professionally and with great care.
