Michele Ray - Bio

A “bull dog with a bow”! This is how Michele’s loyal clients good-naturedly describe her when they witness her passion for quality and a strong drive to “make it happen.” She is relentless in her search for her clients buying the perfect home and is diligent in obtaining the highest possible sales price for those clients on the selling end of the transaction.

Michele believes that the real estate transaction centers around goals, expectations, trust, and effective communication. Her success as a Realtor® can be attributed to the time she takes with each client to listen and understand each person’s unique needs and to help avoid problems a client may not have considered. But, she says, “It does take guts to do all the things a seasoned agent tells you to do, especially in the un-hot markets”. She is scrupulously honest and dedicated to a tenacious and responsible management of the transaction’s many details.

Having grown up in central Austin, Michele is a perfect fit for Austin, “the live music capital of the world”.  Michele and her two equally independent sisters were raised by a spirited mother and WWII fighter pilot father in an environment where the family had open and passionate discussions about subjects that included managing money, investments, real estate, music, setting goals, and the value of hard work. Excellence was expected.

Michele’s background as a fierce classical music competitor, a music teacher, and management experience in a successful restaurant chain gave her a solid foundation for a demanding and satisfying real estate career.  Over her 20 years in real estate, Michele has earned awards for achievement, leadership, service, and creativity.
 
With two sons, a daughter-in-law, “Genobs”, the grand-dog, and many wonderful friends, Michele has a full life. “They keep me grounded, honest, sometimes biting my nails, yet ever so grateful.” Michele enjoys frequenting the area cafés and concert halls and loves to check out local bands and musicians at the annual South by Southwest and Austin City Limits Music Festivals. She has served on several not-for-profit boards and committees, including Habitat for Humanity and the Austin Food Bank. Capitalizing on her real estate knowledge and her great design sense, she remodels houses for her own investments and for friends in her spare time!
