Lisa Hill - Bio

Lisa is an Austin native having attended Austin schools and the University of Texas at Austin. Raised in Central Austin, she migrated to North Austin when she and her husband started their family. Now living in Southwest Austin, she is intricately familiar with most of Central Texas.
Lisa holds a degree in Liberal Arts and worked in the high-tech industry for many years as a Senior Technical Writer. With the tech-bomb in 2003, she decided it was time for something completely different and became a licensed Realtor in 2004.

As a Realtor, Lisa loves helping people transition to the next phase in their lives. She has an analytical yet compassionate approach to helping her clients achieve their goals.
Lisa has done a lot of corporate relocation and understands the unique needs when relocating to Austin from out of Texas or the U.S. She is patient and not pushy and will host exploratory tours of Austin. Her knowledge of Austin and its history is invaluable to newcomers!

Lisa is a Certified Negotiation Expert which means she understands the importance of negotiation when presenting an offer and negotiating a transaction.

Married to Jeff Hill, with three grown sons, one teenaged son, two very special grandsons, and a sweet dog named Lacy. When not working Lisa stays quite busy being with family, friends, tennis, reading, music appreciation, and gardening.

Community

Lisa takes time out of each week to volunteer with the VICTORY tutoring program (Volunteers in Communities Tutoring Our Responsible Youth). As a VICTORY tutor, Lisa works with children needing extra help with certain skills such as reading. Tutoring sessions are held once a week in the evenings.

Lisa has served on the following ABOR committees:

• 2010 Austin Board of Realtors Scholarship Committee
• 2010 Austin Board of Realtors Grievance and Professional Standards Committee

In addition, Lisa stays very involved with her 15 year old son's school activities at Westlake High School and her local community.

We just closed on our first home with Realty Austin. Lisa Hill was our Realtor and they are more than lucky to have her.

She stood by us through a lot of back and forth. We were originally going to purchase back in July and after getting under contract and having an inspection with 1 day left in our option period we had to back out of the deal. Most realtors would probably have been very mad and fed up and walked away without another thought. Not Lisa! She was so sympathetic to our situation and kept in contact with us, gave us extremely personalized attention.

So, it was not even a question in our minds to go back to her last month when we were ready to jump back into the housing market. From day 1 she was amazing to work with - friendly, accommodating, very professional and knowledgeable , and not pushy whatsoever! I know it can be difficult to work with first time home-buyers at times, especially when the home buyer is as type A as I can be at times. But Lisa was always friendly, always very prompt in returning emails and phone calls and as helpful as she could be in every situation that arose. She is absolutely a wonderful Realtor who truly does care about her clients and it shows.

I would recommend Realty Austin and Lisa to anyone who was looking for someone to help them in purchasing or selling a home!

I will try to be brief but I could honestly write all day about how impressed and satisfied with Lisa I am. I was a first time homebuyer and Lisa held my hand throughout the process without being pushy or overbearing. She was very diligent throughout and was never caught off guard. She also made sure I understood what was going on and answered all of my questions. She spend way more time both with me and behind the scenes to insure smooth sailing from home search to close.

She was always available when I called or emailed, whether it was 6 in the morning on a Monday or 10 pm on a weekend! She was also very professional and answered all of my questions promptly; when she couldn't answer a question (which was quite rare!), she immediately directed me to someone that did. Despite the many potential devastating and "deal-breaker" situations that seemed destined to doom my purchase of the home, Lisa remained positive and just kept doing everything in her power keep the closing on track. I am not exaggerating when I say that there is no possible way I would have closed on the home without her. 

To summarize, Lisa is professional, dedicated and obviously has tons of experience with homebuying and Austin properties. I am very lucky to have her as my broker and can't wait to work with her again!

I DON'T KNOW how I got so lucky as to get Lisa. The day we made an offer on the house, she was going to show a house to someone that was in the 7 figure range. Through all of our dealings she made me feel as though WE were a client in the 7 figure range. Lisa kept in touch by phone, text and email--depending on which was appropriate and when you consider we live almost 300 miles from here--most of the planning and dealing took place through these means.

Lisa not only helped me find a lender (who is fabulous) but also a roofer (who helped the seller get the insurance company to pay for the roof) to everything we needed as we knew NO ONE in this area since we aren't from here. The dealings my daughter had with a realtor left a very bad taste (in my opinion she was very unethical and bordered on criminal). So my daughter couldn't recommend anybody.

Lisa is a jewel. She made us feel as if we were a 7-figure client not a barely six figure client. Her ethics and personal code of conduct are first class. There were several hurdles that had to be overcome and she was always right there with the name of someone who was not just qualified but highly qualified to perform the task that we needed. (And when my daughter goes to buy the house she is renting--it will be Lisa who is her realtor. When I sell our house in Sherman--it will be Lisa who will be my help.)
