Josh is origianally from Massachusetts.  In 2005, looking for warmer weather, he and his family relocated to Austin.  With its diverse music scene, abundance of outdoor activities and beautiful lakes it was a great decision. 
 
After a successful 12 year career in the hotel industry, in Vail, CO and Boston, MA,  Josh decided to take his passion for helping people  and started his real estate career.  Over the past four years he has had a sales volume of over $18 million helping families buy and sell homes in the Austin area.   

Josh believes in providing over the top customer service to make  the home buying or selling process an enjoyable one.   He will provide his clients with the tools and market knowledge to make the right decisions during their real estate purchase.  Josh knows that his clients home is one of the largest financial commitments that they will make and  he will make sure that their transaction goes smoothly.

Josh Schenck, real estate agent with Realty Austin, certainly knows how to manage both the buy and sell side simultaneously - and with infinite patience and a sense of humor along the way.

I listed my home in Round Rock, Texas at the same time my then fiance and now husband and I contracted with Josh via Austin Realty as our Buyers' Agent. Needless to say trying to buy and sell a house concurrently can be quite stressful. Josh juggled all my calls including the , "Omg, x, y, z just broke on the current house, what do I do now? to "Omg, we're never going to find a house before we close on the old house (which not so incidentally had a contract on it within 3 weeks of listing!)."

Josh is extremely knowledgeable about the Austin market, too. He tempers realism with an understanding of the buyer/seller needs and he hits the nail on the head consistently. What's nice about working with Josh is that he's very intuitive about his clients and can tell when they will come around on a relevant issue and when he needs to gently (or not, depending on the client :)) steer you in the right direction.

As my agent on the sell side, Josh did a great job early in the process of getting my house publicized quickly. he had great color flyers with pictures and scheduled an open house the first weekend after the house hit MLS. When we received on offer on the house, Josh was on a family vacation; yet, he took time out from that to make sure my interests were best represented rather than leaving one of his colleagues to handle the matter in his absence.

On the buy side - all I can say is that he has more patience than me. My husband and I looked hard for over 4 months - I can't even count how many homes we viewed. Even we he knew a home wouldn't work for us, but we insisted (in desperate hope that it would), he still showed us the listing.

The end of the story is I sold my house, Josh found us a house, and we closed on the old house and the new house with perfect timing!

I'd like to express my sincere gratitude toward Josh Schenck for his effort and dedication in finding the perfect home/business location for my husband and I when we decided to move to Austin, Texas. Our situation was somewhat unique, not only due to the fact that we were looking to move to Austin from Massachusetts, but in that our check-list was so specific. We were looking for a separate building on the property for my husband's business and a studio in the house for myself. I wanted a view of Lake Travis, an in-ground pool, ample room for my daughters to visit and a private setting where we could enjoy peace and serenity.
