Bio
Donna Darling is a native of San Antonio and has lived and worked in the Austin area for over 35 years. She is the daughter of a Realtor and began working in the "family business" at the tender age of 16. Donna joined a Fortune 500 company at the age of 21 and pursued a career in sales and marketing. Over her 24 years with the company, she was frequently recognized for her outstanding sales results, her innovative marketing ideas, her leadership abilities and her dedication to community service. At the time of her retirement in 1995, she held the position of marketing manager for the State of Texas. After retirement, she decided to pursue her life-long dream of returning to the "family business", real estate. She joined Keller Williams in 1996 and quickly became a multi-million dollar producer and is ranked in the top 10% of agents nationally. After being with the company for only a short time, she was recruited to serve on the Agent Leadership Council, representing 300 of her fellow associates. In 2008 she joined Realty Austin, and is now specializing in corporate relocation, investment properties, Hill Country estates and waterfront homes.
A firm believer in continuing education, Donna has completed extensive training with the nation's top real estate business coach, Brian Buffini. She is a graduate of Floyd Wickman's Sweathogs, a distinction held by only 8% of the agents in the industry. Donna has also completed Joe Stumpf's "By Referral Only" training and served as a member of the Masters Club of that organization.
In the spring of 2006, she was awarded the “Quality Service Certified” designation for excellence in client satisfaction. In September 2006, she was awarded the “Previews Specialist” designation for her extensive experience in selling high end luxury properties.
Donna is a Certified Relocation Specialist for both Sirva and Cartus Relocation Companies and has worked over the years assisting employees of many large corporations such as IBM, Trilogy, Tivoli, Dell Computer, AT&T, Merck Pharmaceuticals, State Farm Insurance, Cicada Semiconductor, Tokyo Electron and GSD&M Advertising. Additionally, she has a long standing relationship with the University of Texas where she has assisted many incoming professors in finding homes.
Donna is an active member of the National Board of Realtors, the Texas Board of Realtors and the Austin Board of Realtors. In the past 25 years, she has volunteered much of her time working with Ballet Austin, the Austin Symphony, Hospice Austin, Leadership Austin, Riverbend Church and St. David's Medical Center.
In her spare time, Donna enjoys spending time with her three grown children, Jamie, Courtney and Kyle and her dogs, Clementine and Tucker. She spends weekends in the beautiful Texas Hill Country and at Lake LBJ. A huge Texas football fan, she never misses a Longhorns game. She also enjoys cooking, snorkeling, boating, collecting regional cookbooks, gardening and traveling in New England, Virginia, Maryland and Mexico.
